Welcome to Role Players Ensemble Theatre
This year we celebrate 25 years of bringing quality live theatre to audiences in the San Ramon Valley and the East Bay. Role Players is a non-profit theatre organization, whose mission is to entertain, educate and enhance our audience’s theatre experience through the staging of classic and contemporary dramas and comedies. Each season we produce main stage three plays performed in the historic Village Theatre in Danville and occasional less formally staged ‘black box’ plays and staged readings in the Danville Town Meeting Hall.
We continually strive for excellence by recruiting artistic talent locally and across the Bay Area through open auditions and by encouraging young people to get involved on stage and behind the scenes. We are supported by the contribution of time, money, goods and services by our Board members, our subscribers and donors, community businesses and, not least, the over fifty volunteers who staff our performances.
Theatre opens the mind to experiences, cultures, ideas and points of view we might otherwise not be aware of or understand in a way that is immediate and personal. In this complex world we need those insights. I invite you to become a supporter of local live theatre by getting involved with Role Players as a performer, subscriber, donor, ticket buyer, volunteer… Whatever way or ways you wish.
