MARY CAMEZON (Vice President) is an educational consultant working with underperforming districts and schools to improve student achievement. She taught high school English and Social Science for 33 years and worked for an educational laboratory in a research project designed to bring schools and communities together in dialogues about student performance. A resident of Danville for forty years, she is active in two educational societies and serves on the Eugene O’Neill Foundation board.
WENDY COOPER (Secretary) is a past president of the Eugene O’Neill Foundation, Tao House and a current member of the advisory board. She is a National Park Service docent, and the editor of the Eugene O’Neill Society newsletter. Video documentaries made by Wendy and husband Tony can be seen at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, Forest Home Farms and The Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site.
GARY DEATLEY (Treasurer)
ROSEMARIE HYATT has lived in Contra Costa County for more than 40 years and is a resident of Danville. She retired after 30 years as a major gifts fundraiser for San Francisco Opera and U.C. Berkeley. Rosemarie is a proponent of the arts and is currently serving as an Arts Commissioner for the Town of Danville where she has a role in generating interest and support for the arts. As a board member of Role Players Ensemble, she will continue to generate interest and support for them, as well as work to raise the level of visibility of Role Players Ensemble in the San Ramon Valley.
GAIL KAMERER has lived in Danville for the last thirty-seven years. She was a stay-at-home mom for her two daughters, but about twenty five years were spent in a classroom. During her teaching years, drama was an important part of her curriculum. Every student who passed through her doors had some experience on the stage. Gail is really enjoying her experience with Role Players and the adult world of drama.
ROZ HIRSCH has lived in the Danville for 44 years. She taught for 20 years in the San Ramon Valley. She served on the board of the Tri-Valley Community Foundation, the Eugene O’Neill Foundation board, and the Danville Library Foundation. Roz was president of the Museum of the San Ramon Valley and Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the hospital governing board of the San Ramon Regional Medical Center.
FLORENCE McAULEY (President) a longtime resident of Danville, is a Past President and Honorary Board Member of the Eugene O’Neill Foundation, Tao house and current President of the Board of Directors of the Museum of the San Ramon Valley. Florence was the first Chair of the Danville Arts Council (forerunner of the Arts Commission.) In her spare time, Florence, a member of the Walnut Creek Clay Arts Guild, is an avid potter.
SHARON SPRECHER (on leave) has been involved in the theatre world since childhood. She attended Northwestern University as a Theatre Major and studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NYC. She has performed in NY, LA and the Bay area.. On becoming a mom and needing to earn a “real living” Sharon became a top producer in real estate, working for Coldwell Banker, Danville. A longtime resident of Danville, Sharon is proud to be a member of RPE board of directors, supporting quality theatre in Danville.
JERRY WARREN served as Executive Director of large local retirement communities and as a senior executive for several multilevel not-for-profit retirement corporations for nearly 40 years. He was Chair of the Board of Directors of Aging Services of California, the trade association for over 400 not-for-profit retirement groups. After retiring in 2003 he became a Docent at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley and chaired the operations arm of the Museum- Steering Committee for three years. He is also involved with the San Ramon Valley Historical Society and represents them on the Museum.s Board of Directors. In 2011, he was appointed as an Alternate Commissioner of the Town of Danville.s Historic Resource Commission. Jerry and his wife have lived in Danville since 1985, except for a three-year stint in St. Louis. They enjoy theatre at Role Players Ensemble and other area theatres.
